Drawpin is provided as an offline-first utility application to capture photos and annotate defects on site. We do not require accounts or store your photos on remote servers. You retain full ownership and responsibility for the photos you capture and share.
1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Drawpin mobile application ("App") or related website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, do not download, install, or use the App.
2. License to Use
Subject to these Terms, Drawpin grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App for personal or commercial site inspection and markup purposes on your personal or business mobile devices.
3. Local Storage and User Responsibility
Drawpin is built as an offline-first camera tool. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Local Data Storage: All photos, pins, sketches, notes, and snag summaries are stored solely on your device's local memory.
- Backup Responsibility: Because Drawpin does not automatically sync photos to an external cloud database, you are solely responsible for backing up your device and saving critical report exports.
- App Deletion: Uninstalling the App or clearing its application storage/data may permanently erase locally stored photos and markups. The “Clear image cache” action removes temporary image files and keeps saved photos, annotations, and the database.
4. Site Compliance and Acceptable Use
When capturing photos or annotating work on construction sites, properties, or project facilities, you represent and warrant that:
- You have all necessary permissions, permits, and authority to photograph the relevant work areas, equipment, and structural elements.
- Your usage complies with applicable site safety regulations, client non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and local privacy laws.
- You will not use Drawpin for any unlawful, harassing, or unauthorized surveillance activities.
5. Performance Telemetry and Error Diagnostics
In versions with the Share diagnostics setting, sharing performance telemetry and error diagnostics with Expo, our performance monitoring service provider, is optional and off by default. You can enable it in Settings & About → Share diagnostics; enabling takes effect on the next app launch. You can turn it off at any time to stop future uploads. Consent to diagnostics sharing is separate from accepting these Terms and is not required to use the App. When enabled, reports cover normal use and errors. This includes startup and screen timing, navigation route patterns, device and app details, installation and session identifiers, and error messages and stack traces. We use this data to improve performance and reliability. Reports are not anonymous, and automatic error messages may contain details from the underlying failure. Technical diagnostics may still be recorded locally while sharing is off, and pending reports are discarded before sharing starts. Turning sharing off does not delete reports already sent. Earlier releases without this setting send diagnostics automatically and have no in-app opt-out; update to a version with the setting to control future sharing. 6. Intellectual Property Rights
The Drawpin name, logos, user interface designs, code, and visual assets are the exclusive intellectual property of Drawpin. You retain all copyright and proprietary rights to the original photos and annotations created by you using the App.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Drawpin is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. While we strive to provide a fast, reliable, and bug-free utility, we do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every mobile hardware configuration.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Drawpin, its developers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation loss of profits, lost photos, missed project deadlines, or hardware damage arising out of your use or inability to use the App.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is made, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App following any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
